Do you want to do something different over the winter evenings? Do you want to go to a place where you can learn, achieve personal growth and have fun?
Then the Clonmel Toastmasters Club is the answer. The Talbot Hotel is the meeting place and the club returns after the Christmas break on this Thursday January 8. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Toastmasters can help you to communicate effectively especially if you are concerned about an upcoming wedding speech, or a presentation that you must give at work or to a group. You can increase your confidence and learn leadership skills.
The Toastmasters club is more than a Thursday night meeting. The club is affiliated to District 71 in Toastmasters International, which covers clubs in Ireland and the UK.

District 71’s nationwide Bus Tour stopped in Clonmel in October. The aim of the visit was to celebrate achievements, build connections and raise awareness about Toastmasters. The event was hosted in the Town Hall by Mayor Pat English, with Cllrs Micheál Anglim and John FitzGerald also present.
Speaking at the event, club president Elaine Egan highlighted the strong ties between community and leadership, while also promoting the core Toastmasters values of confidence, communication and collaboration. The Clonmel club meets every second and fourth Thursday each month.
