The Tipperary New York Hurling Club Dinner Dance took place on Saturday, December 6th at Mulinos at Lake Isle County Club.
It was a great year for the Tipperary New York Hurling Club as they were crowned NYGAA Junior Hurling Champions in 2025. Special guests on the night of the function included Tipperary All-Ireland Winning Captain Ronan Maher and Tipperary U20 All-Ireland Winning Manager Brendan Cummins, along with the Liam McCarthy Cup itself!
There was a special presentation on the night of the Teresa Crowe Award, in memory of Teresa who passed away in October last year. Teresa was a native of Beakstown, Holycross, Thurles, and resided at The Bronx, New York, until her return to Ireland in 2022.

She was a cherished member of her family and a loyal friend to many, both in Tipperary and in the Irish community in New York, where she lived for many years. During her time in the United States, Teresa became deeply involved with Tipperary Hurling New York and the wider New York GAA, where her enthusiasm, support and commitment earned her widespread respect and enduring friendships.
Teresa was remembered at the Dinner Dance, with a special Award in her honour. The inaugural Teresa Crowe Award was presented to Tipperary New York Hurling club member, John Grogan.
John was recognised with the Award for his commitment and dedication to the club over many years. Outside of his involvement with the club, John will be well known to readers of this newspaper for his involvement with the Darby Ryan International Poetry Contest in Bansha.
