The application, submitted by Simon Maunsell, relates to No. 26 Mill Street, Carrick on Suir. It was received by the planning authority on January 8, 2026 and is listed as a new application.
A decision is due by March 4, 2026, with submissions or observations to be made by February 11, 2026.
At the centre of the proposal is a material change of use from a dwelling to a hostel intended for emergency accommodation. Retention permission is also sought for a rooflight installed on the front of the building.
In addition, the application includes plans for further works, notably the provision of an emergency exit at second floor level and the construction of an external escape stairway to the rear of the building.
All associated ancillary site works are also included as part of the submission.
