Students from Rockwell College have been recognised at national level following their success at the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, held recently in the RDS, Dublin.
Paddy Corcoran and Sean Cahill were awarded First Place in the Senior Technology category, along with a Special Award from the Educational Research Centre, recognising both the technical quality and educational impact of their app, Studytok.
The students were welcomed back to campus this week and are pictured with Rockwell College Principal Audrey O’Byrne. Their project was showcased alongside hundreds of student entries from schools across the country, with a wide range of ideas presented across technology, science, health, and sustainability.

Beyond the awards themselves, the exhibition provided Paddy and Sean with the opportunity to engage with other student teams, exchange ideas, and gain insight into the breadth of innovation taking place among young people nationwide.
Both students were keen to acknowledge the encouragement and support of their Science teacher, Ms Murray, throughout the process. Their experience at the exhibition has been described as a valuable and motivating one, offering a strong foundation as they continue to develop their ideas.
