As of September 2025 there were 757 children under the age of three on waiting lists for creche places in Tipperary.

With a lack of childcare options for many families in Tipperary, the granting of planning permission for this extension would be widely welcomed.

Tipperary County Council is scheduled to make a decision on the proposal by 11 March 2026.
