Tipperary Further Education and Training College has announced new upskilling programmes designed to give employees the skills needed for the rapidly changing world of work.
The FET division of Tipperary ETB’s education provision has announced brand new courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics and Immersive Technologies (VR/AR/MR), helping to position Tipperary as a leader in next generation training and digital transformation.
The programmes are offered as 5 or 10 credit QQI micro-credential modules. These are short educational programmes that develop a student’s mastery of a specific skill or topic, resulting in a QQI specific purpose qualification.
The modules are ‘stackable’, allowing the student to progress at their own pace and continue upskilling in their chosen area.
This is a new era in course provision, as the programmes draw on the most up-to-date global developments in technology.
They are aimed at all sectors from manufacturing and engineering to business, healthcare, education, creative industries, and entrepreneurship.
Here is more information about the new courses being offered at Tipperary FET College.
Enhancing Productivity with AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Among the flagship offerings is Enhancing Productivity with AI, a progressive Special Purpose Award aimed at clarifying Generative AI (GenAI), and building learners’ confidence in using AI tools responsibly in professional environments.
The programme provides a practical introduction to how GenAI works, how to write effective prompts, and how to analyse AI tools in the workplace.
AI is already reshaping every industry. Our goal is to ensure people in Tipperary understand it, and can benefit from it.
For those interested in hands-on technology skills, Tipperary FET College is also offering training in Robotics and Immersive Technology, areas that are experiencing fast-growing demand across Ireland and Europe.
