The email may use subject lines such as “Your urgent response will be highly appreciated,” address recipients as “Dear customer,” include generic “feature update” information, and contain buttons labeled “View Update Details.” Its language is designed to create a sense of urgency and prompt recipients to click a link.

The credit union stressed that the email is not genuine and reminded members that it will never ask for personal information, passwords, PINs, or online banking details via email.

Members are advised not to click on suspicious links, download attachments from unknown senders, and to verify sender addresses carefully.

Anyone in doubt should contact their local branch using official phone numbers listed on the credit union’s website.

If the email has been received, members should delete it immediately without replying or clicking any links. Those who have already clicked a link or entered information are urged to contact the credit union immediately.

The advisory concludes with a reminder for members to remain vigilant and protect their personal information.
