James (Jimmy) Costello Ballybrack, Dublin / Thurles, Tipperary
The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Costello, Ballybrack, Co. Dublin and formerly of Ballydavid, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Jimmy passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in the exceptional care of Leopardstown Park Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the dearly loved husband of Susan and a much loved father to Paul and Carol. He was a cherished grandad to Abigail and Laura.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter in law Fionnuala, Carol’s partner Niall, his siblings Kathleen, Peggy, Patricia (Canada), Ger and Michael, as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Mary and Richard, his brothers Paddy, Vincent and Richard, his sisters Mary, Josie, Philomena and Teresa, his brother in law Joe and his friend Paddy Glynn.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 9, at 12 noon in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, followed by private cremation.
The house is private and family flowers only.

Ryan O'Meara TD offered his sympathies, saying: “Sincere sympathy to the Costello family on the sad passing of James (Jimmy). May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
One person wrote on RIP.ie: “So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing, he would always stop for a chat, a lovely neighbour for many years.”
