Many attended the information stands at the open day held in Tipperary Town this week.

Some information stands at the open day for Tipperary FET College.

A recent open day was held on Wednesday 11 March by Tipperary FET (Further Education and Training) College in Tipperary Town, which saw the College welcome a large number of prospective learners, parents, teachers, and community members across two campus locations in the town.

The event took place simultaneously at the College’s centres on Bansha Road and St Michael Street, Tipperary Town, both of which experienced exceptional attendance throughout the day.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore facilities, meet with teaching staff, speak with current learners, and gain detailed information about the wide range of programmes on offer.

The open day showcased the Tipperary FET College’s diverse range of courses available in Tipperary Town, including full-time and part-time programmes, apprenticeships, and progression pathways to higher education and employment.

Attendees were able to participate in interactive demonstrations, view student project displays, and receive guidance on application processes and funding supports.

Staff members were on hand to provide one-to-one advice, ensuring that each visitor received personalised information tailored to their interests and career ambitions. The positive atmosphere across both campuses reflected the strong community spirit and growing interest in further education and training opportunities within Tipperary Town and the surrounding areas.

Speaking after the event, course coordinator Sinead Brennan said: “We are absolutely delighted with the turnout and the level of engagement shown by everyone who attended. It was wonderful to welcome so many prospective learners to both our Bansha Road and Michael Street centres.

"The enthusiasm and interest in our programmes highlight the vital role further education and training continues to play in supporting individuals and the wider community.”
