With the sides level at full time, the game went to shuttles, where Rockwell held their nerve to win 2-1.
Less than two weeks later, the team returned to home turf for the Munster Schools Senior A Cup Final on Monday, March 23, where they defeated Midleton College on a 2-1 scoreline to complete the double.
Both finals were hosted at Rockwell College, and the support from across the school was clear.
Students, staff and teachers gathered in large numbers on both days, creating a strong atmosphere and getting right behind the team.
Coached by John Ryan and Sandra Cahalane, the group showed consistency and composure across both competitions, delivering when it mattered in two high-pressure finals.

The achievement is all the more significant given the size of the girls’ cohort in the College, with just over 150 students competing against schools with larger numbers and multiple teams.
Captained by Kate Flanagan, this group has set a new standard for hockey at Rockwell College, a result that will stand out as a major milestone for the school.
