A member of a Lions club in Tipperary has been praised for raising a large amount of money for a local charity in Thurles.

Gary Roche, a member of Thurles Lions Club, recently held a very successful breakfast morning fundraiser in aid of Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre, with the help of his club, staff and wife Geraldine. 

They raised a large sum of €6820 for the Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre, a service that provides free emotional support, practical help, and complementary therapies to cancer patients, their families, and carers.
