Whelve is a 10-minute 55 -second track from Dave Long and Shane O'Neill, commissioned by The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, as part of its long-form music programme.


Lifelong friends, both musicians were the singers and main songwriters in two separate Irish 80’s post punk /indie/rock bands.


David Long was part of Into Paradise, who released two albums and a few EPs on the legendary British independent label Setanta Records and the major label, Ensign.


Shane O’Neill was part of Blue In Heaven, who released two albums on Island Records.
Whelve (to bury something deep) follows the release of their album Moll and Zeiss in 2021.


This work is being exhibited at the Source, Thurles, from Friday, January 28, to Monday, February 28.
The track is available for a €2 fee from David Long's website, davidlong4.bandcamp.com
