Byrne had a decent outing in his first start of the league, scoring two lovely points from distance which is one of the strengths of his game. He wasn't as prominent in open play in the second half and struggled to keep the Dublin half forwards in Danny Sutcliffe and Rian McBride quiet, but all in all, he was one of Tipp's better performers on the night.
