FBD Semple Stadium will host the big match next Sunday

It has been confirmed that the AIB Munster Club Senior Football Championship semi-final between Clonmel Commercials and Newcastle West will be played at FBD Semple Stadium next Sunday, November 27.

The match will get underway at 1pm and the referee will be David Murnane, Cork.

The Clonmel team have home advantage and the team and management requested that the match would be played in Thurles.

Weeks of heavy rainfall had raised concern about the condition of the Clonmel Sportsfield pitch, which has hosted a busy schedule of matches recently.

Kerry champions Kerins O’Rahillys and Clare’s Eire Og Ennis will meet in the other semi-final at Austin Stack Park in Tralee, also at 1pm next Sunday.

The referee will be Moyle Rovers clubman Sean Lonergan.

The final is scheduled for Saturday December 10 at 7.30pm.
