The funeral took place this morning of Danny Norris who tragically lost his battle with cancer last Friday morning.
The seven year old from Ballymacarbry in had been fighting a rare form of Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma for over two years, and the young boy had been in Crumlin Children’s Hospital since February.
However, despite the best efforts of doctors, the treatments couldn't help and he was allowed home to spend time with his family just days before he passed away.
Danny‘s funeral arrived at the Church of Fourmilewater for Mass at 11 this morning, and had a number of guards of honour including children from the Ballymacarbry school.
By the request of Danny's family, those attending the funeral were asked to wear Christmas or bright coloured jumpers in celebration of his life, which made for a flurry of colour at the sad event.
