The inaugural meeting of The Green Farmer (TGF) Cooperative takes place in the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel this Thursday, December 16 at 7.30pm.
The new cooperative is a collaborative association led by farmers interested in duckweed cultivation, entrepreneurs and bio- economy professionals developing practical and compliant solutions in the new circular bio-economy.
The inaugural meeting for members will formalise the Duckweed Growers Group to help farmers develop a new sustainable feed crop for the circular economy.
In addition to announcing a new board and members, TGF is laying the groundwork for how the group will focus its efforts to create a sustainable and prosperous future for farmers in the new circular bio-based economy.
The organisation fosters an environment of cooperation between farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, regulatory agencies, traditional financial institutions and technology solutions to accomplish its mission.
TGF Cooperative is encouraging new members, including farmers and circular-bio economy professionals to join.
