Tipperary County Council promises to fix public lighting in this housing complex
The Fianna Fáil candidate for the Nenagh Local Electoral Area, Ryan O'Meara, has confirmed that Tipperary County Council has agreed to fix a number of public lights around the Sue Ryder independent living complex in Stereame in Nenagh.
Mr O'Meara said: "I am pleased to confirm that the Public Lighting Section of Tipperary County Council has this week repaired a number of street lights around Sue Ryder in Stereame in Nenagh.
"A number of local residents and concerned family members have been in contact with me about this issue in recent weeks.
“ I am glad to confirm that Tipperary County Council have acted swiftly to repair these lights.
"This is a busy time of year for the Public Lighting Section of the Council, as the long, dark evenings bring a greater need for all lighting in the town to be in order.
“Many residents, who walk in this area in the evenings, have been concerned for their safety when out getting some fresh air and exercise, especially due to the increased risk of slipping in the dark.
"I would like to thank the council officials for their quick response on this matter."
