Three arrests made in probe following republican funeral

Three men have been arrested following a republican funeral in Londonderry.

Footage appearing to show masked persons carrying a coffin in the city has been circulating online.

The three men, aged 23, 53 and 56, were arrested under the Terrorism Act on Saturday.

They have since been released on police bail to allow for further inquiries.

Two vehicles were also seized, along with a number of other items, including a wooden baton, clothing and mobile phones.

A police spokesperson said the investigation continues.

Meanwhile it is understood that a further investigation is ongoing into another video circulating online, which appears to show shots being fired over a coffin in recent days.

This incident is not believed to have happened at the funeral.
