A teenager has been assaulted with a weapon by a masked man in Co Antrim.
Detectives are appealing for information about the incident in Ahoghill on Saturday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We received a report at approximately 8.50pm that a teenage boy had been assaulted in a car park within The Diamond area.
“It’s understood the suspect, an unknown man who was wearing a mask, assaulted the teenager with a blunt object, believed at this time to be a crowbar, across his face.
We have arrested a man following an assault on a teenage boy in Ahoghill on Saturday evening, 31st January.

“He sustained facial injuries as a result of the attack and required hospital treatment.
“He was also left shocked and terrified by what happened.”
A man in his 40s has been arrested.
Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference number 1397 31/01/26.
