Fire service dealing with blaze at vehicle in Tullamore on Tuesday night
THE fire service was tonight extinguishing a vehicle ablaze on the outskirts of Tullamore.
Motorists taking the Tinnycross exit off the Tullamore bypass saw what appeared to be a jeep on fire in the eastbound lane shortly after 9.30pm on Tuesday.
The vehicle was pulled into the hard shoulder and flames were leaping from the engine area.
Within a few minutes a fire brigade arrived and emergency personnel immediately got to work.
There were no reports of any injuries arising from the incident.
