Over 60 participants braved the elements last Saturday for the first parkrun of February.

Louise Wallace celebrated her 50th parkrun. She was supported on the day by her brother Bob Flynn, another Mountlucas regular, and her good friend Cindy Reilly.

In addition to Louise’s 50th, Paul Palmer had a 150th celebration of his own; not for running but for volunteering. This is some achievement given that last Saturday was Mountlucas Parkrun 157th. He was presented with a specially made cake to acknowledge this particular milestone.

Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about. See www.parkrun.ie/mountlucas to register and for more details.
