Man arrested by gardai on board train in the Midlands Picture Credit Laois Offaly Gardai
Gardai arrested a persons while patrolling the rail network in the Midlands .
Gardai say during a patrol on board a train in Laois, offences under the Misuse of Drugs were detected.
A person was arrested and brought before Portlaoise District Court as a result of an outstanding bench warrant
Gardai have been stepping up their efforts to combat crime and antisocial behaviour on rail networks in recent times.
"Operation Twin Tracks aims to eliminate anti-social behaviour on trains and in train stations through high-visibility patrols and engagement,” Gardai said.
