Roscrea Community Choir are holding rehersal sessions ahead of their fundraising concert for St. Anne's School, with William Cullagh and Sophie Ward helping to prepare the choir and have the group in their best voice.

The Choir also hope to hold a rememberance Mass for former Choir members and members who have lost loved ones.

The Choir remain on the lookout for a new MD and the Committee are working hard to find a suitable candidate. At their recent AGM the outgoing Committee was thanked for their work and the new Committee of Chairperson Michael Collis, Secretary Catherine Egan, Treasurer Mary Kelly, PRO Siobhán Bowe, Acting MD Luch McCarthy and Committee members Mary Ryan, Olwen Roe and Irene Hastings was formed.

The Committee are also working on composing a Constitution and compiling a core book of songs and hymns to use regularly for Community and Church events.

“We are delighted with the turnout for recent rehersals as we welcome new and returning members to enjoy singing together and prepare for events”, they said.
