Ireland Weather: Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts as Met Eireann forecast a change on the way
Ireland is basking in some Spring sunshine today with Met Eireann forecasting temperatures as high as 18 degrees in places today but enjoy it while it lasts as Met Eireann is forecasting a change on the way.
In its latest forecast for Ireland, Met Eireann says that high pressure will be largely dominating through the rest of the working week bringing generally dry and settled conditions before becoming more unsettled by the weekend.
For the rest of today, spells of sunshine across most of the country this afternoon and evening. Staying largely dry although a few showers will likely develop in the west. Moderate easterly breezes will keep temperatures towards the east coast between 11 and 14 degrees, but it will reach 15 to 18 degrees further west.
Mostly dry and clear tonight in light to moderate easterly or variable breezes. Just isolated patches of mist or fog tonight. Cloud will increase in the east and south towards morning. Turning chilly with lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees generally, dipping lower locally.
According to Met Eireann, Wednesday will be a cloudier day but there will be sunny spells at times for most parts, especially later in the day. Largely dry again, with just the chance of an odd light shower. Feeling cooler with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in mostly moderate easterly breezes, fresh at times near the east and south coast.

A few showers will affect southern and southwestern counties on Wednesday night, but it will stay dry elsewhere with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in mostly moderate easterly winds, fresh at times near the south coast.
It will be dry and sunny to begin on Thursday with some fair-weather cloud bubbling up during the afternoon. Feeling cool though in the mostly moderate easterly winds which will be fresh to strong along the south coast. Top temperatures ranging 11 to 14 or 15 degrees, highest in the west.
Mostly dry and clear on Thursday night with lowest temperatures between 2 and 6 degrees with light to moderate northeast breezes.
According to Met Eireann, many areas will be dry with spells of sunshine to begin on Friday but cloud will tend to increase through the morning with some patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures will range 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh northeasterly winds.
Mostly cloudy in the east and south with patchy rain and drizzle. Drier and clearer for a time in the west and northwest but cloud increasing here too overnight. Lows of 4 to 8 degrees, coldest under the clearer breaks in the west and northwest in light to moderate northeast breezes.
According to Met Eireann, current indications for Saturday suggest a mostly cloudy day with showers or longer spells of rain. Rather cool with highs of 9 to 13 degrees in light to moderate northerly breezes.
Remaining rather cool in a northerly airflow with rain or showers gradually clearing southeastwards through Sunday and early Monday.
