Offaly GAA club launches development plan

Clodiagh Gaels GAA Club is delighted to announce the official launch of its Club Development Plan. Thanks to the successful engagement of individuals from the wider community along with club members, the plan will guide the club in the direction needed to progress.

Echoing the vision of the GAA, Clodiagh Gaels hopes to establish a sustainable community-based and volunteer-led Association where as many as possible, participate in Gaelic games and culture, for as long as possible.

Clodiagh Gaels GAA Club was founded in 2015 through an amalgamation of Killeigh & Killurin GAA clubs, an idea which came from the large underage success of the Na Fianna Juvenile club where the parish field hurling & football teams. Based in Killeigh & Killurin villages just outside Tullamore, facilities include; two pitches, an all-weather training pitch, gym facilities, dressing rooms, and a clubhouse which is a hub for all forms of club and community activity.

The club has been fortunate to enjoy some success in their short time together winning Football titles at Junior level & Hurling titles at Junior, Intermediate & Senior Grades.

The underage structures are managed through Na Fianna hurling & football sections and have provided Gaelic games and culture for hundreds of kids over the years.

The club plan was developed around 5 main pillars; Administration and Club Management, Adult and Juvenile Games, Culture and Community, Facilities and Development, Finance and Fundraising.

Clodiagh Gaels would like to extend a big thank you to all those who got involved and provided feedback and ideas. A particular mention should be given to the Club Plan Committee, without whom this couldn’t have come to fruition.
