BRERETON'S Bar Annual Tractor Run was held on Sunday June 25th at Brereton's Bar Ballybritt. It was the most successful tractor run they had to date with over 200 vehicles registered.

To say the committee are overwhelmed would be a total understatement. They never predicted in a million years that so many would turn up to their little crossroads at the foot of the Slieve Bloom.

Thanks so much to all the volunteers, local landowners, Frank, Therese and staff in Brereton's, their neighbours, sponsors, auctioneer, entertainment, their own photographer Barry and you the general public for the outstanding support you showed them on Sunday June 25th.

At one point they had a fear of the weather but to be fair it did not stand in the way of the entrants from turning up to make it an amazing day - one the people of Ballybritt will not forget.

This year's main beneficiary is Offaly Hospice Foundation. The proceeds will go towards the palliative care work that these amazing nurses/carers do in our homes when our loved ones need them most.

They are also donating a portion of their proceeds to Offaly Down Syndrome. Again the amount of help and support this society provides to our community is unbelievable.

The committee are already planning their 2024 event and cannot wait to make it the biggest run in the midlands.
Their presentation night is on Saturday August 5th at 9.30pm in Brereton's Bar Ballybritt with music by Rock on Paddy.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed in any way to their fantastic day.
