Parents and grandparents needed in Offaly to help support new parents

Parents and grandparents are needed in Offaly to help support new mothers and fathers.

That's according to Parents First, which is seeking people with a few hours to spare each week to offer friendly advice to new parents in the county.

Free training and travel allowance is provided.

Parents First is an early intervention model of family support seeking to increase the confidence and independence of families in Laois and Offaly.

According to Parentsfirst.ie, the voluntary organisation "holds a vision that family support can make a difference in transforming the lives of children, families, and communities, particularly the most vulnerable".

Anyone interested in helping out can call Dolores or Paula at 086 195 9221 or 057 932 2996.
