Road works on busy road in the Midlands to continue for at least another week

Road works on busy road in the Midlands to continue for at least another week

Temporary traffic arrangements are to remain in operation on the N80 Portlaoise to Mountmellick Road until mid September. 

Laois County Council says temporary traffic arrangements will remain in place for pavement improvement scheme on the N80 Portlaoise to Mountmellick Road in Co Laois from 8am to 6pm until September 15.

The Stop/Go and Convoy will be in place from the Clonreher Road Junction to Kyletalesha Landfill Road Junction from Rossleighan to  Kyletalesha.

Roadworks have been ongoing on the busy route between Portlaoise and Mountmellick since mid July. Initially the council said the roadworks would  be in place from mid July until mid August.
