Tullamore Show is not on the move yet and will return to its long-standing site at Blueball in 2024.

In a statement issued this week, Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show  confirmed the event is returning to the widely popular Butterfield Estate on Sunday, August 11 2024.

Rumours that the show was moving to a new site in 2024 were confirmed by Show Chairman, Joe Molloy who revealed the show had been exploring several different sites.

“Rumours had it we were on the move for 2024 but we can confirm we are not on the move yet,” outlined Mr Molloy.

He added: “Tullamore Show has been exploring several sites for the future and with the success of our event and the requirements needed for a suitable site, we will continue in our exploration.”

This year proved to be a very difficult one on the showing circuit due to unsettled weather conditions with some shows having to be cancelled or postponed but Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show had its best show to date.

“Although spectator numbers were down very slightly, the quality and standard of livestock, competitors and trade exhibitors were exceptional,” said a statement from the Show Executive,

It added: “Each year we endeavour to have new events on our programme and 2024 will be no different.”

“We would like to thank the site owners of the Butterfield Estate, Anne Marie Butterfield, and Stephen McQuade. We are delighted to have the continuous support from the community and the car park landowners in returning to Butterfield Estate in Blueball on Sunday, August 11 2024,” concluded the statement.
