Series of weather warnings issued with intense weather set to hit parts of Ireland
Met Eireann has issued a series of weather warnings with intense weather set to hit parts of Ireland.
Met Eireann has issued two Status Orange Weather Warnings and three Status Yellow Weather Warnings with some areas set to be hit with intense weather.
A Status Orange Rain Warning has been issued for Waterford.
Met Éireann is warning that there will be intense rainfall over a relatively short time period with potential flooding, poor visibility and hazardous travelling conditions. It is valid from midday until 6pm this evening.
There is also a Status Orange Rain warning for Galway and Mayo.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Rain warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford. Met Eireann is warning of spells of heavy rain accompanied by strong and gusty winds. Highest rain accumulations on hills and mountains. That warning is in place from 9am to 6pm.
Another Status Yellow Rain warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo from 11am to 8pm while there is also a Status Yellow Wind Warning for Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow from 3pm to 7pm
