12 – Left half forward: Dan Bourke (Durrow)

While hurling may be his first choice, the quality of some of Dan Bourke's performances for Durrow took the breath away. His movement was top class, he was athletic and he is also a very good footballer.

He was at wing back for a lot of the group games but played very well on the half forward line against Edenderry and it would be a travesty not to have Bourke on it somewhere. The year could have been a lot better for Durrow but they deserve a representative on the team. Ferbane's Joe Maher was a contender.
