15 – Left corner forward: Nigel Dunne (Shamrocks)
Considering they bowed out in the group and had to survive a relegation play off against Clara, Nigel Dunne's inclusion on this team may surprise some but I have no hesitation whatsoever in including him. He was outstanding for Shamrocks, stamping his authority on every game that he played in – and in a manner that only a handful of others matched.

He was absolutely instrumental in them surviving, the main reason that Shamrocks are still in the top flight – Jack Bryant took some of the weight off his shoulders when returning from the USA for the final group game, scoring five points from play in the relegation play off. Dunne was also outstanding that day, getting three of his nine points from play. He was man of the match in their first round draw with Bracknagh, scoring 1-8, 1-3 from play, got 0-6 with 0-4 from play in the heavy defeat by Rhode and got 0-9, 0-5 from play, as they ran Edenderry close in their final group game.
