7 – Left half back: John Furlong (Tullamore)
John Furlong was also an automatic choice on this team. He played mainly at centre half back but is selected on the wing to accommodate Leon Fox, who deserves to be on it as well but would not be as good on the wing as Furlong. Oisin Keenan-Martin made a very welcome return to action for Tullamore and played well as did Ferbane's Shane Nally.
