8 – Midfield: Aaron Leavy (Tullamore)
Aaron Leavy was very much on form in the Tullamore midfield, controlling games in an almost quiet, understated way. He was very composed on the ball, seldom gave it away and played football in a very sporting, fair manner.
The year may not be ending the way he would have wished for but he was an easy pick for this team. Ferbane's Kevin Nugent played very well for them and was considered as was Edenderry's Jordan Hayes, whose influence grew with games – he had been away on Army duty for most of the county season.
