9 – Midfield: Peter Cunningham (Bracknagh)
Peter Cunningham played mainly in attack but also drifted out to midfield for crucial spells during games and he had a super year for Bracknagh. He oozed quality and led them into the quarter-finals.

Him and Nigel Dunne engaged in a shootout in Bracknagh's first round draw with Shamrocks – Cunningham got 1-6, 1-2 from play. He was man of the match as they qualified for the quarter-finals with a draw with Edenderry in the second round, running the game for long periods, especially in the first half and he got on a lot of ball as they battled hard in their defeat by Rhode. The departure abroad of Ciaran Donnelly and David Costello ahead of the quarter-final against Ferbane ended Bracknagh's hopes – the players have free choice and may have needed to go at that stage but that would almost certainly not happen with genuine title contenders and Bracknagh were destroyed by a flying Ferbane. It was a bleak day for Bracknagh but Cunningham was one of their few players to make an impact, scoring three of their seven points, two from play and one from a mark.
