Ronan Scully of Self Help Africa with committee members of the Pre-loved fashion show event and dress sale for charity at Core Fitness in Mucklagh
Offaly women, Vanessa Shortall, Tracey Dooley, Siobhan Dunne and friends, hosted their first sponsored pre-loved dress fundraiser in aid of Self Help Africa's work in Ethiopia and Kenya on Sunday last.
Close on €4,000 has been raised from the venture so far with still more funds to be lodged.
The organisers would like to thank everybody who took part and donated dresses and prizes and helped raise funds for the East Africa appeal, especially the many attendees from many parts of the midlands and beyond.
The event had a great turnout of people at the Core Fitness venue in Maria Lambe's Fitness Hall at Blueball.
They are already looking forward to next year where, hopefully, it will be as successful, if not more successful, than the great event it was this year.
