Tidy Towns group in Offaly celebrate at historic castle

Members of Tullamore Tidy Towns committee gathered in Charleville Castle on the outskirts of the town on Friday evening last to celebrate a year of success at their Christmas party.

The group, under the chairmanship of Shane Murray, has gone from strength to strength in the past 12 months with more volunteers and members than ever involved in the tidy towns effort.

Tullamore retained its Gold medal and the Tidy Towns committee was also a finalist in the national Pride of Place competition held recently in Armagh city.
