Community invited to take part in nativity play this Sunday
This Sunday the Presbyterian community have their community nativity play at 11am up at the church on High Street in Tullamore.
“As a small congregation we haven’t had enough children most years to put on a full-scale nativity play and so a couple of years ago we decided that maybe we could all dress up as our favourite nativity characters and have a whole church nativity play,” outlined Rev, William Hayes.
He added: “This year we would like to extend an invitation to the whole community to come along and take part. Dress up as an angel, a shepherd, wise man, King Herod (be prepared for the booing in the script!) or even Mary and Joseph!
“The script will be read from the front by some leaders and everyone gets to be involved in a small way with their characters as all the Josephs and the Marys (and shepherds and wise men… ) get to say their bits together.
