Gardai in Offaly investigating two separate burglaries in the county

A dark-coloured car with a Donegal registration was seen acting suspiciously in a neighbouring area before one of the burglaries

Gardai in Offaly are investigating two separate burglaries that took place earlier this month

A burglary occurred at a private residence in Ballingown, Belmont on Saturday, December 2. The rear window was forced but after a search the thieves made off with nothing.

A second burglary occurred at a house in Killogue, Shinrone on Friday, December 8 between 9am and 3pm. Again, access was gained by forcing open a rear window. The house was extensively searched but nothing was stolen.

A Garda spokesperson said that a dark-coloured car with a Donegal registration was seen acting suspiciously in a neighbouring area.
