Lucky Kieran Rushe has won the top prize in the December car draw at Tullamore Credit Union.

The draw was held at the packed 61st annual general meeting of Offaly's largest credit union in the Esker Arts Centre on Monday night last.

Kieran Rushe, from Killaderry, Daingean, was announced as the winner by the Chairperson of the credit union's Board of Directors, Liam O'Callaghan.

Liam also advised that two presentations of €5,000 each were made to UNICEF and Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) on behalf of the members to support their work in Gaza.

This announcement was met with a resounding round of applause.

Members present in the arts centre were entered into the traditional ‘turkey draw’ for QUID vouchers.

This year as sponsor of the first ever panto in Tullamore, five family tickets to ‘Cinderella’ were also raffled.
Once all the formalities were completed all that remained for Chairperson Liam was to wish all members a Happy Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
