Offaly influencer explains bizarre reason she ended up on crutches

Influencer Rachel Gorry explained the bizarre reason on how she was injured

Irish influencer updates followers on freak accident as she appears on crutches

An Offaly influencer has revealed the reason she has ended up on crutches, resulting in in her missing out on a trip to Galway.

"Well lads I've had better weeks I'm not going to lie," Rachel Gorry laughed as she pointed to her injured leg.

And she explained the bizarre way she got injured

"I was trying to catch a balloon,' she laughed.

"I was playing with my friend's son... we were messing with the balloons that she got for his birthday and there was no weight on it so he kept letting it up to the ceiling, and they've got quite high ceilings.'

'And I was able to stand up on the couch and grab it but it went a little bit too far up and I thought if I jumped off the couch and grabbed it then I'd be able to give him back the balloon and it would be grand,' she said.

But I landed funny on my heel,' Rachel outlined, damaging ligaments and bruising her bone. "And I didn't even catch the balloon, which I was more raging about.'

The mum-of-three created her Instagram account at the beginning of 2020, while she was working in interior design and is now a well-established influencer in Ireland.
