Offaly darts team crowned Leinster Champions
Offaly darts players recently traveled to The Riverside Hotel in Enniscorthy to contest in the Leinster Darts Championship.
The team made it through the group stages throwing some fantastic darts all day coming out on top they met Kilkenny 2, with a 7-0 win.
They then met Westmeath in the quarter-final and again had a super 7-0 win where they now found themselves into the semi-final.
Meeting a very strong Wexford team in the semi-final they came out on top with a 7-4 win.
Then it was time for the final where they face a good Dublin side. Again the lads threw some exceptional legs of darts winning the final and been crowned Leinster champions.
The team consists of Stephen Rosney, Nigel Cassidy, Keith Mcnamara, Charlie Ward, Pat Barrett, Keith O' Connor, Colm Ryan, Brian Fletcher Jr, Trevor English, Niall Farrell, James Lynch, Bodien Fogarty, Dwayne McEvoy, John Murphy, Billy McCormack.
Well done to all involved with a special mention to Mark Guinan (Manager), Leanne Holland (Secretary) and to Phoenix Tullamore (Kieran) for their venue, generous sponsorship and support to Offaly darts.
Best of luck as they prepare for the All Ireland Inter Counties Championship in Meath the end of February.
