Man in 40s dies in Midlands workplace incident amid investigation
A post-mortem is being carried out on the body of a man in his 40s killed in a workplace accident in the Midlands on Monday.
Gardaí say they were alerted to the scene at a commercial premises in Rochfortbridge, Co Westmeath on Monday morning, April 15.
A man in his 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene, they confirmed.
A Garda statement read: "His body has been taken to the mortuary at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course."
In response to Offaly Live, The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said: "The HSA are aware of this fatal incident and have launched an investigation."
A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
