Offaly singing star Tolü Makay lined up for huge Guinness series concert

Offaly singer Tolü Makay has been lined up to play a gig as the Guinness Live & Rising returns to Belfast on one lovely day in May.

On Sunday, May 19, Guinness Live & Rising will return to Belfast and Cork, with Tolü Makay taking the stage to headline this one-of-a-kind Live & Rising event in Whites Garden pub in Belfast, with support from up-and-coming artists.

From lo-fi R&B to tremendously poignant and expansive pop music, Tullamore's Tolü Makay has ascended from indie-pop darling to one of Ireland’s leading creative voices over the past few years.

Fresh from her performance at Lovely Day to Open the Gates at St James’s Gate in Dublin, Tolü Makay will collaborate with Guinness and Whites Garden to curate the Belfast event celebrating all that is special about the magic of the pub in summer. Kicking off a Lovely Day in the early afternoon, Whites Garden will be transformed into the ultimate summer beer garden with mouth-watering BBQ dishes and surprises for guests along the way.

The event will take place on Sunday, May 19 and tickets are live now on Eventbrite.

The Live & Rising series was launched by global superstar Dermot Kennedy who performed in local Dublin pubs to surprise fans back in May 2023. Celebrating its 1 year anniversary, Guinness Live & Rising works to showcase unique collaborations with new and established talent from the worlds of music, food, sport, and the arts while spotlighting all the talent that Ireland has to offer.
