PLAYER RATINGS: How the Offaly U20 heroes fared in their historic All Ireland win over Tipperary

Adam Screeney - Adam Screeney would not have an All-Ireland medal without the excellence of everyone around him, their work ethic and pace. Offaly were far from a one man team but it is fair to speculate that no one else would have an All-Ireland medal either without the brilliance of the Kilcormac-Killoughey star. He was tightly marked, double teamed with players dropping back to ensure Offaly couldn't pick him out easily, yet he was a huge factor in the win. He showed superbly, got a sensational point from play and his free taking was deadly. He did miss a couple he would expect to get in the 2nd half but he got 11 from placed balls, three of them from '65s' and another couple right on the limit of his range. Tipp defended as well as they could on him but Screeney was once again wonderful. Rating – 9.
