Three talented local musicians awarded music teaching diplomas
Three local musicians have been awarded the TTCT Teaching Diploma for Irish traditional music from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
The trio teach locally and perform regularly with Ballyboy branch of CCÉ. The girls completed the week long teacher training course last July in Comhaltas headquarters in Monkstown Dublin.
Áine Gleeson, Eimear Gleeson and Máire Brennan were awarded the TTCT teaching diploma for Irish traditional music from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann recently at the Annual Congress of Comhaltas held in Sligo.
Áine and Eimear hail from Ballybrack, Roscrea while Máire hails from Fortal, Birr.
Pictured with the girls at the annual congress in Sligo is the National Music Officer, Caitríona de Brún, who is also from Roscrea.
The girls are wished continued success with their music teaching.
