North Atlantic dominating brutal weather forecast for Ireland from Met Eireann for coming days
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Ireland is in for a lot of wet and windy weather in the coming days with just the odd glimpse of summer.
According to Met Eireann, the weather is set to be very mixed with the North Atlantic dominating, feeding in alternating wet and dry spells.
According to Met Eireann, Thursday will be blustery and outbreaks of showery rain will extend nationwide this morning, persisting into the afternoon, while generally becoming confined to Ulster this evening. It will be driest overall across south and southeast counties with the best of the sunny spells here. Cool for the time of year with highs of 13 to 17 degrees. Unseasonably windy too with fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds.
Tonight will be mostly dry with clear spells, and moderating westerly winds. Some passing showers still too though, mainly in the North. Lows of 8 to 11 degrees.
According to Met Eireann, Friday will be a day of sunny spells and well scattered showers, mainly in the North and West in mostly moderate westerly winds. Becoming cloudy with more general rain arriving into Connacht and Munster later in the evening. Highs of 14 to 19 degrees, mildest for Leinster and east Munster.
Low cloud and scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will gradually extend eastwards on Friday night. It will remain driest, coolest and clearest for Ulster. Lows of 7 to 13 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.
According to Met Eireann, there will be a damp, locally wet start on Saturday with overnight rain and drizzle gradually clearing away southeastwards. Sunny spells will develop across the northern half of the country. Highs of 15 to 19 degrees in mostly moderate northwest breezes.
Dry with clear spells on Saturday night and just light northwesterly breezes. Cool with lows of 6 to 9 degrees.
The latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland says that some showers will affect Ulster on Sunday with showery rain arriving into Atlantic counties during the afternoon. Driest and mildest across the Midlands, South and East with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 13 to 20 degrees, all in light to moderate westerly breeze.
Sunday night will see scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, but with some areas staying dry. Mild with lows of 11 or 12 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly breezes.
