Gardai investigating after very unusual theft from car in Offaly

Gardai are investigating after a very unusual and potentially sinister theft from a car in Offaly.

The front and rear number plates were stolen from a car parked outside a house in Lumcloon, during Saturday night, July 13.

A Garda spokesperson said stolen number plates are often used for criminal activity.

He urged people who have their plates stolen to report the incident to gardai.
