Young Offaly golfers are second in All-Ireland final

The successful Birr team are pictured with two of their mentors Niamh Treacy and Mikie Horan.

BIRR Golf Club's GolfSixes team came second in the All-Ireland final played at the Grange Golf Club on Sunday.

They were narrowly pipped for first place by Tramore GC on a countback but can be very proud of their achievement.

Well done to their mentors and parents for their support.

The team was Aideen O’Neill, Jane Liffey, Darragh Horan, Micheál Hogan, Clodagh Farrell, Darragh Hennessy, Sean Farrell and Jack Flannery.
