Gardai in the Midlands have seized a car which they say was being driven without insurance and had heavily tinted windows.
The Volkswagen Golf car was stopped by gardaí in Portlaoise.
Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped this vehicle with no insurance in Portlaoise this week.
According to gardai, the driver was an unaccompanied learner driver and they added that he driver and passenger windows were tinted.
"When tested the windows were both only measuring 5% transparency. The minimum legal limit is 65%,” gardaí stated.
Gardaí seized the vehicle and commenced proceedings against the driver.
